Black Veil Brides is an American hard rock band consisting of vocalist Andy Biersack, Jinxx (rhythm guitar, violin), Jake Pitts (lead guitar), Christian “CC” Coma (drums), and Lonny Eagleton (bass). Former members of the lineup include drummer Sandra Alvarenga, guitarist Chris Hollywood, and bassist Ashley Purdy.
The American rock band has gained notoriety for rising through the ranks and carrying the torch of 1980s glam metal acts, a genre pioneered by artists like Kiss and Mötley Crüe. Like these bands, the members of Black Veil Brides are known for their use of black makeup, long hair, body paint, and elaborate costumes on stage. They also cite influences from Def Leppard and many death metal and rock bands.
They’ve appeared at many festivals and embarked on multiple tours, including the Sacred Ceremony tour, the God Save the Scream tour, the Royal Family Clothing tour, and many more. The meaning of the band name ties back to a Roman Catholic term used for a woman who “marries” into the church.
