LP is Laura Pergolizzi, an American singer from Long Island, New York City. Since 1998, she’s been writing and performing her own music, as well as writing songs for others.
Her songwriting credits are impressive, including Rihanna’s song “Cheers (Drink to That)” (November 2010), the Backstreet Boys’ “Love Will Keep You Up All Night” (October 2007), and Leona Lewis’ “Fingerprint” (October 2012). She’s released five albums and numerous EPs and singles, dropping her first full-length record in 2001. She’s also collaborated with artists like Billy Steinberg and Claude Kelly.
